GFPT Founders' FundDonate to the GFPT's operations fund that supports our overall Education and Research initiatives. Donating to this fund allows you to give on behalf of yourself, your organization, or you may choose to donate in honor or memory of colleagues or loved ones of your choosing. The GFPT will utilize your donation where it is needed most. This special fund is named in honor of the GFPT founders, Marcia Pearl, Pearl Pettersen, Steve Wolfe, Steve Hensley, David Pittman, Jr., Diane Spencer and the late Glory Yarbrough Sanders, PT. We also welcome donations that contribute to our named scholarships and awards listed below. |

Phyllis D. Palma Scholarship FundA scholarship has been established in memory of Phyllis D. Palma, PT, DPT, ATP/SMS. This scholarship will be offered each year as long as funds are available. This scholarship is dedicated to individuals who have been inspired by Phyllis’ life work and reflect her passion and zest for life. The scholarship is intended for students with an interest in aquatics, pediatrics, or neurology, and/or wheelchair sports, especially wheelchair rugby for which she was one of the few testers to determine fitness to play. Lynda D. Woodruff Health Disparities InitiativeA health disparities initiative has been established in memory of Lynda D. Woodruff, PT, Ph.D., FAAPT. This initiative will reward creative ways to provide physical therapy to underserved populations in Georgia and will be offered each year as funds are available. The Sunshine Scholarship In Memoriam of Jaclyn MaxwellThe GFPT is collecting funds for The 'Sunshine Scholarship' in Memoriam of Jaclyn N. Maxwell, PT, DPT. This scholarship will be dedicated to individuals who are looking to serve the pediatric population with the compassion, love and light that Jaclyn brought to her patients every day. She was the Sunshine in their lives and so many others. This scholarship is dedicated to those who are pursuing an interest in pediatric physical therapy so that they may shine bright for the future. This scholarship will be offered each year as long as funds are available. |
